amazing stay!
really good service luxurious bath sourced produce
the staff provided really good service from arrival! every member was warm and professional! our room included amenities. the bathroom featured a luxurious bath and a superb shower! dining on the terrace was pleasant. i appreciated the sunshine and great views! breakfast included locally sourced produce! it had freshness and flavour! i especially appreciated the bar and dining staff! they had character and humour.
the hotel charged me for an item i did not take. it was a cuddly toy deer used as a do not disturb sign! i put it on the bed before leaving! i suggest the hotel check the cctv in the corridor to confirm this!

The grounds were really good. there were peaceful spaces for walks. fresh air and nature provided a sense of calm. I rarely find this elsewhere! the estate is extensive and well kept. It offered a tranquil retreat.

Acceptable Stay , Some Issues Present
slow service modernization need
The service in the Hillfield restaurant needs improvement , as the waiting times were excessive. The steak tartare I ordered was disappointingly small , especially considering the price. after I left , the hotel charged my card for a cuddly toy deer without informing me , accusing me of stealing it. The rooms need modernization . The lack of a smart TV in a hotel of this category is a considerable oversight.

small window extra charge
The outdoor pool provided a RELAXING experience.
The room felt dated, and the small window made it quite dark. Showers drenched the bathroom floor EVERY time. The hotel charged me 25 pound for a cuddly toy deer. I did not take.

Fantastic Spa and Grounds!
comfortable bed excellent linen quality numerous walking paths helpful staff
My room had a comfortable bed and the linens were of excellent quality. The hotel grounds offer numerous walking paths. I loved the outdoor jacuzzi. It was particularly enjoyable in the cool evening air. Every staff member was friendly and helpful, ready to assist with any request.
The gym equipment felt a little old, but it was still functional.

The room included a television with a wide selection of channels. Ample wardrobe space was available. It easily accommodated my belongings. The bathroom had a separate shower and a bathtub. Both were very clean.
